Mock Trial Team

Each year, the award-winning Maine West Mock Trial Team prepares for 2 major events: the State Championship in Springfield (March) and the Kane County Competition (April/ May). Practice starts in mid-September. Students learn teamwork and hone their public speaking and critical thinking skills as they examine cases based on real-life scenarios. They experience the thrill of competition in real courthouses while learning college-level material, which has helped former students succeed in the college admissions game. Since 2008, Maine West has won 10 top honors from the Illinois State Bar Association for Outstanding Attorney (6) and Outstanding Witness (4)!
