Dear Warrior Parents,
Let’s try this again…
So sorry for the technical difficulties that disrupted our YouTube Live session for parents yesterday. I’ve rescheduled for one tomorrow, Friday, April 10, at 1:30 p.m. You can access the broadcast by clicking this link.
I realize this is a holiday for many; I am sorry for that. I thought it was important to try again quickly after our mishap on Wednesday. I will record the meeting and post it to the website, as I have with the previous meetings that ran successfully. (I will also continue to hold these meetings on Wednesday afternoons at 2:30 for the duration of this school closing.)
I host an Instagram Live for students on Fridays at 2:30, which I’ll post on our school’s Instagram page. Thus far these have not been well attended; something tells me that might change this week. The YouTube meeting will be geared primarily for parents, whereas the Instagram meeting will be for students.
We are holding the conversation to share some of our preliminary thinking about how to handle senior events in the spring (specifically prom, honors assembly, and graduation) and to solicit other ideas that we can explore. We have few definite answers because of the ongoing uncertainty of the situation, but we have been collecting info and ideas over the last few weeks and we think it would be helpful to share these. We will follow the discussions on both platforms with a student survey to reach a wider range of seniors.
Thank you all for your patience and cooperation during the most challenging event that I have ever witnessed in a school community. We all have so many feelings about what is happening, to our seniors and to the world, but I know that we will find a way to work through this complexity together.
