Course selection has begun in our high schools for the next school year. The Illinois State Board of Education directs all schools to ensure that students who meet and/or exceed on the state-administered IAR or SAT, or meet and/or exceed on local standardized assessments (STAR and MAP), have the opportunity to enroll in the next most challenging course in English, math, science, and social science available at their grade level.

Maine Township High School District 207 has an open enrollment policy and therefore does not use standardized test scores to restrict access to our most challenging courses.  Requirements for enrolling in the next most challenging course are only the prerequisites for that course.

Please visit SchooLinks with your student and select “School” from the left menu and then “Course Planner.” By clicking on the drop-down menu for each subject and electives, students can choose the course they are most interested in taking for the next school year.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to your student’s counselor if you have any questions.
